Juab County VINELink Coverage
Utah Department of Corrections Victim Notification Services identifies Utah VINE through VINELink as its person-specific custody and notification system. Documented UDC events include prison release, a parole release date notice, transfer, escape and return, death, movement between prison sites, county-jail movement, and placement in a community correctional center. That coverage follows the UDC prisoner even when the person is physically held in one of Juab County Jail's contract beds.
The Juab County Sheriff's Office does not state on its jail pages that Juab County Jail participates in county-level VINE. The live Utah selector must therefore list the facility or agency before a county-jail alert is promised. If Juab does not appear, call the jail for current custody and use Sheriff Records for written release or transfer documentation. VINE's statewide name alone does not establish that every county sends the same data.

Search One Juab County Inmate

An ordinary Juab jail detainee and a UDC prisoner can occupy the same building while belonging to different record systems. The first route is Juab County Jail and Sheriff Records. A result marked released means that the reporting agency says its custody ended. It does not by itself rule out parole, a detainer pickup, a transfer, federal custody, ICE custody, or another case. Preserve that distinction in any note made from the result.
Register Juab County Release Alerts
Registration begins only after the correct person has been matched. Utah VINE supports phone and email notice, permits anonymous registration, and is available around the clock. Juab Release Versus Transfer
A movement alert needs context. Juab County Jail holds both ordinary county detainees and some state prisoners through UDC's Inmate Placement Program. When an ordinary detainee leaves after bond, time served, dismissal, probation, or another court order, the sheriff custody event may close. Yet a hold or receiving-agency entry can show that the person went elsewhere rather than home.
A UDC prisoner leaving the Nephi jail commonly follows a different path. UDC says almost all state prisoners housed in contract county jails are routed to Utah State Correctional Facility for release processing. A county-jail movement alert may thus reflect transport to the state release site. Search the UDC record, open the Board order, and confirm the operative event on or after its date.

Juab VINE Agency Differences
UDC documents a defined notification layer, while Juab County's own pages do not document county-jail participation. That difference controls what can be promised. For a UDC record, the official state service lists custody and movement events and provides the statewide hotline. For an ordinary local detainee, the presence of Juab County Jail in VINELink's live selector must be established first. If it is absent, the sheriff phone and records workflow replaces the alert path.
Agency selection also affects the meaning of a date. UDC materials refer to notice of a parole release date roughly 30 days ahead. That is advance notice, not an actual release timestamp. A county agency may offer a different event set if it participates. Read the choices shown on the matched record and never extend one agency's options to another. A person may also move between agencies, causing a status change in one record before the next custodian reports its own event.
The safest sequence is notification, legal record, and custodian confirmation. First, save the exact VINE event without adding interpretation. Next, check the Board decision or local court order that authorized the change. Finally, contact the agency responsible on or after the event. This sequence distinguishes conditional parole from full discharge and separates transfer from release to the community.
Juab's lack of a public roster makes the phone route especially important. Jail staff may provide only limited status information, but a narrow question can still ask whether a named person remains housed and whether the departure is recorded as release or transfer. Sheriff Records can then process a written request for the durable booking and release record. VINE remains useful because it can call attention to a change before the written record arrives.
Juab VINELink Release Limits
VINE is not a complete historical release archive. It does not replace the sheriff's release record, a UDC legal-status record, or a Board order. It also does not cover BOP inmates. A past federal release is checked through the BOP Inmate Locator, while federal pretrial custody may require the U.S. Marshals and federal docket. ICE uses its own current-custody locator.

Note: A release alert from one custodian does not rule out immediate intake by a second agency acting on a hold.
Confirm Juab Release Notifications
Make the final check with the agency that controlled the custody event. A Juab sheriff record can separate local release from transfer. A Board order and current UDC status can separate a future parole date from completed parole release. The exact source wording matters. “Not housed here” says less than a dated release entry, and a release from one agency may begin custody with another.
Record the time of a phone confirmation, the office called, and the non-sensitive wording provided. When sources disagree, treat the newest alert as a lead and resolve the conflict with the custodian's record. That method protects against data lag and avoids turning a notification into a claim it cannot support.
Keep the notification reference separate from sensitive account details. The useful record is the agency name, event wording, event date, and time checked. If a phone alert repeats until a PIN is entered, confirmation stops the retry cycle but does not certify the event's legal meaning. A later agency check remains necessary.
For a person who no longer appears in a current system, request the durable record. Sheriff Records can address a Juab booking and release event. UDC records and a Board order can document state parole, termination, or expiration after the current-supervision result is gone.
